Jefferson grew numerous types of roses at Monticello. After botanist John Bartram discovered a hydrangea variety in Georgia in 1730, the flowering shrub quickly became popular in American and European gardens. Replicated in silky fabric, these favorite spring and summer flowers make an exquisite table decoration. A 5 3/4"h glass hurricane candleholder nestles among the flowers. Unscented ivory candles, 2" dia. x 3"h, are sold separately. Approx. 9"h x 15" dia.
